WakeHard is an alarm clock that makes you complete a task — solving maths, shaking your phone, or scanning a QR code you placed somewhere — before the alarm will stop. It runs entirely on your device.
No phone alarm can promise to ring. Android and iOS may delay or prevent alarms because of battery optimisation, power saving, Do Not Disturb settings, a device that is switched off, or manufacturer-specific software that stops background apps — and some manufacturers are more aggressive than others. WakeHard is built to survive as much of this as an app can, and its setup guides you through the settings that matter, but it is a convenience tool, not a safety-critical device. Do not depend on it as the only way you wake for medication, medical appointments, travel, work with safety implications, or anything else where missing the time could cause harm. Use a second, independent alarm for those.
Missions exist to stop you dismissing an alarm half-asleep. If a mission cannot run — a broken sensor, a camera that will not open, a QR code you no longer have — the app falls back to a solvable task, and an emergency skip becomes available after the alarm has been ringing for a few minutes. You will never be trapped by a phone you cannot silence.
The free tier includes the full alarm engine and the core missions, supported by ads on the alarm list and occasionally after an alarm is dismissed — never while an alarm is ringing or while you are completing a mission. Premium removes all ads and unlocks the remaining missions. It is sold either as a one-time lifetime purchase or as an annual subscription, billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The lifetime purchase does not renew. The annual subscription renews automatically until cancelled in your store account settings, and trials convert to paid unless cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds follow the policy of the store you bought from.
Use the app lawfully and do not attempt to modify or redistribute it. We may suspend service for abuse.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding a claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including anything arising from an alarm that did not ring or that you did not hear.
We may modify the service or these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the app.
